Ethnicity Ethnicity

This bit of the website is about making services better for people from black and minority ethnic communities.

VPN What does Valuing People say?

Valuing People Now is about including all people with learning disabilities and their families. People from black and minority ethnic groups and newly arrived communities should benefit from Valuing People Now in the same way as everyone else.

Partnership Boards should have their own Equalities Schemes to show what they are doing about equality laws and how they are checking things are happening.

Regions should support local planners and service providers to make sure what they do is in line with national policy, law and good practice.

The Office of the National Director will work with the National Advocacy Group for Learning Disabilities and Ethnicity about a work plan for ethnicity.

We help to improve services and achieve better outcomes for children and families, adults and older people including those with mental health problems, physical or learning disabilities or people in the criminal justice system. We work with and are funded by DH Logo
